ChemTaurus GmbH, originally a spin-off from the University of Bremen, is a privately owned German Chemical Company. Our rapidly growing company was founded in 2008 by a group of chemists with many years of experience in both applied and basic research in organic, organofluorine, and organophosphorus chemistry. Our work has resulted in numerous patent applications and publications with Bayer AG, Aventis AG, Degussa AG, Merck KGaA, and LG International Corporation.
A series of robust, easily recyclable and highly efficient catalysts have been developed. These unique compounds represent a new family of salts of delocalized lipophilic cations with remarkably high potential for solid-liquid phase-transfer halide exchange. Novel effective fluorinating reagents based on α,α-difluoroamines have been developed and evaluated.
